Fight Details
  • Location: AT&T Stadium, Arlington, Texas
  • Start Time: Friday, November 15 at 8 p.m. ET; main event ring walks expected for 11 p.m. ET
  • Broadcast: Free for Netflix subscribers
  • Prize Money Purse: Paul said in August he's "here to make $40 million and knock out a legend."
Fight Rules
  • This is a licensed, professional bout sanctioned by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations.
  • The fight is scheduled for eight two-minute rounds as opposed to the three-minute rounds customary for most men's boxing matches.
  • The fighters will not wear headgear and will wear 14-ounce gloves as opposed to the 10-ounce gloves usually worn by boxers who weigh over 135 pounds.
  • There will be judges scoring the fight ringside who will render a decision if there is no knockout.

Paul and Tyson were originally scheduled to face one another on July 20, but an ulcer flare-up forced Tyson to withdraw from the match and reschedule it for Friday. This will be the first combat sports event to be streamed live on Netflix.
The former heavyweight champion known for his knockout power, Tyson hasn't fought professionally since 2005 and hasn't been in the ring since November 2020 when he fought Roy Jones Jr. to a draw in an exhibition. At 58 years old, there will be a 31-year age game between him and the 27-year-old YouTuber.

Paul has a professional boxing record of 10-1 with seven knockouts. He's faced multiple former MMA fighters and journeyman boxers, with his lone loss coming against Tommy Fury, the only boxer he faced who is similar in age and size.
At Wednesday's press conference, both fighters expressed confidence that they will be successful on Friday. Tyson declared emphatically, "I'm not gonna lose," while Paul predicted he would win by knocking out the boxing icon.
Friday's fight is expected to be one of the most-watched boxing events in recent memory with over 60,000 fans in attendance and a gate that exceeds $15 million, which would mark the largest boxing gate in U.S. history outside of Las Vegas.
