UFC 313 ceremonial fighter weigh-ins take place Friday, and you can catch a live video stream of the proceedings here on MMA Junkie at 7 p.m. ET (4 p.m. PT). The weigh-ins take place at Michelob Ultra Arena at Mandalay Bay. The nearby T-Mobile Arena hosts Saturday’s event (pay-per-view, ESPNews/Disney+, ESPN+). In addition to the video stream above, you can check out the official UFC 313 weigh-in results from earlier in the day.

“Originally, when I heard about this fight I was like, ‘this is is a tough matchup for Pereira’ — I still think it is a tough matchup,” former UFC featherweight champion, Alex Volkanovksi, said on YouTube. “But then the more and more I look into it and chat about it; Pereira, his takedown defense is getting better and better. Let’s remember his fight with Jan Blachowicz. He was able to stop takedowns, get back to his feet. Showed a lot of improvements in his takedown defense against a solid wrestler. Probably not as good as Ankalaev.”

“Poatan” is a beautifully devastating balance of knockout artist and technical kickboxing savant. While he has the power to put anyone’s lights out with a single strike, Pereira often breaks his opponents down with intention and technique. He loves to score early and often with his quick leg kicks, and he can hit them with either leg. He also likes to plant a jab to his opponent’s body to not only maintain range but to set up his devastating left hook. He mixes in high kicks with frequency as well, whether it’s with his right leg, left leg off the switch or front kick up the middle.
