2018’s projected 130-team college football rankings

SBNation projects the Flashes as the 127th best Division I team. In the MAC, SBNation has Toledo, Ohio, Northern Illinois, and Miami as the conference leaders. I really can't disagree with these projections. Given Kent State's weaknesses on the offensive line and lack of depth, I'm afraid the Flashes will be looking at a winless season this year. Perhaps Coach Lewis can build a competitive team in a few years but his up-tempo style offense will not be effective until he has enough quality players to properly execute it on the field. Unfortunately, what we will see is a lot of 3 and out with an exhausted defense giving up a ton of points.
