UMASS to the MAC in 2012 for football only

There was a news report today that UMASS is coming to the MAC in 2012 for football only and Temple will stay in the MAC for the time being as a football only member, so that means the league will move to 14 teams in 2012.

Horrible from a logistical and geographical standpoint. What does this do for the alignment of the teams in the MAC East and West?

I believe you will need to trust the Commissioner on this one and hope adding UMass to the MAC will be good for the conference.
