Italiano, like Currie, has contributed since he first stepped on campus. Italiano calls Canfield, Ohio home, not far from Kent State. The 5-foot-10, 207 lbs. junior led the Golden Flashes defense in solo tackles last season with 41. Italiano also recorded 76 total tackles, which was good for third place. But Italiano is a team-first player who works hard on and off the field. In fact, Italiano was named to the Academic All-America Second Team in 2013, something that proves great academics and athletics is an attainable goal.
