Flashes rebound against Miami

After losing badly at Buffalo, the Flashes defeat Miami at home 78-57 to extend their record to 12-7 and 3-2 in the MAC. Kent now has to go back on the road and play a good Ball State team that is currently 13-4 and 5-0 in the conference. With 11 more games to play in the regular season, the Flashes will need to string some wins together to build momentum going into the MAC tournament. However, Kent will have to bring its A-game if it is going to win at Ball State.

Ball St plays Morehead St @ home tonight, so we will see how they matchup with Morehead St who beat Kent St earlier this year (Guyton was out for this game). I have heard Ball St is much improved, but I have also heard/seen that once again, the MAC West is BAD, so 5 wins against bad teams doesnt really impress me. Also, there non-conference was pretty weak.

rj, you were right about Ball State not being as good as its record shows. The Flashes won easily 66-53. Toledo is next up for Kent.
