The Anticipation Builds

In the lead-up to this monumental fight, Ngannou showcased his readiness with a heated face-off at the final press conference. The former UFC champion and his Brazilian counterpart Ferreira exchanged intense stares, with Ngannou confidently asserting he would "let him know who is the king." Fans can expect Ngannou to sport yellow and black trunks, while Ferreira will enter the octagon in grey and black.

A New Chapter for Ngannou

After a two-fight stint in boxing, Francis "The Predator" Ngannou is back where he belongs. The 37-year-old powerhouse, who signed with the PFL in May 2023, is making his debut for the organization, aiming for the newly established PFL heavyweight Superfight Championship belt. This matchup is set to elevate the Professional Fighters League, founded by Donn Davis in 2018, as it introduces its Super Fights division.

Ngannou's last appearance in the cage was at UFC 270 in January 2022, where he defended his title against Ciryl Gane. Following that bout, a contentious contract dispute led to his exit from the UFC, where he was stripped of his championship in January 2023. Despite leaving the promotion, Ngannou's profile soared after two high-profile boxing matches in Riyadh against Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua, proving that he remains a formidable force in combat sports.
