This included 50 missed tackles in a NRL finals clash, which was deemed not good enough. "I'm just a little bit shattered for them because I thought they had come down here to have a red-hot crack," he said on Channel Nine.
"But where you finish the season is probably a reflection of how you played throughout the year and the inconsistency of the Cowboys has come back to bite them again. "While they've been good in parts of the game, they have really struggled to put a complete 80-minute performance [together].
"When you are in the post-season, playing against the better sides, you can't afford to have the errors that they had. You can't afford to be behind 24-0 at half time. And I think it's just a true reflection of their season and the inconsistency of it."
The Week 3 NFL TV schedule is headlined by the 0-2 Baltimore Ravens traveling to the 1-1 Dallas Cowboys in a game where the loser will be in a difficult situation.
The week begins Thursday with Aaron Rodgers and the Jets' home opener against the New England Patriots.
